HOUSING.
The following is a summary of the position as regards the four areas, represented by me in 1929 and subsequently taken over by the London County Council.
Area. | Present position. |
---|---|
Northwold Road | Part of the area has been demolished and re-building is in progress. The remainder of the area will be demolished when the flats now in course of erection are ready to receive the tenants of the houses in the remaining portion of the area. |
Duncan Square Warburton Square | Clearance Order confirmed by the Minister of Health early in 1935. Inspections are proceeding with a view to the representation of the area. |
Morning Lane | Action is to be taken as regards this area when the other County Council areas in the Borough have been cleared and accommodation provided therein for the persons to be displaced from the Morning Lane area. |
The following statement shows the position as to the thirteen areas with regard to which the Borough Council has made Clearance Orders. These Orders received the confirmation of the Minister of Health after public inquiries had been made.
