For enforcing drainage and promoting cleanliness and ventilation.
For provision of W.C. accommodation, washing accommodation,
accommodation for storage, preparation and cooking of
food.
For securing stability and the prevention of and safety from
fire.
For cleansing and decorating and paving of courts and courtyards.
For provision of handrails to staircases.
For adequate lighting of all rooms.
For precautions in connection with infectious disease.
Some of the provisions of the new by-laws as regards structural
alterations will not come into force until six months after the Rent and
Mortgage Interest (Restrictions) Acts, 1920 and 1923, or any reenactment
thereof, with or without modifications, relating to dwelling
houses shall have ceased to be in force.
