(1) TuberculosisSt. Joseph's Hospice for the Dying (75 beds for Tuberculosis), Cambridge Lodge, Mare StreetThis is a Religious Institution, but beds are obtainable by Local Authorities. In London residential treatment of tuberculosis is pro-vided by the London County Council.
(2) MaternitySalvation Army Mothers' Hospital, Lower Clapton Road, and (see below) City of London Lying-in Hospital, City RoadAgreement with these two Institutions to pay sum of one guinea in respect of each necessitous case admitted from the Borough. A necessitous case is defined on page 75.
(3) ChildrenAgreement with the Invalid Children's Aid Association whereby this Association arranges convalescent aid under the Maternity and Child Welfare Scheme. There is no Hospital for Children in the Borough.
(4) FeverEastern Fever Hospital, The Grove, HomertonThis Hospital is the property of the Metropolitan Asylums Board.
(5) Other HospitalsMetropolitan Hospital, Kingsland Road German Hospital, Ritson Road, DalstonA General Hospital supported by voluntary contributions. It has accommodation for in- and outpatients. Ditto.
