mortality rate of persons at 65 years and upwards is 4.1 per 1,000
inhabitants.
Deaths in Public Institutions.—There were 1,338 deaths in
public institutions in the Borough during 1923; of these 554 were
residents of other districts, and the remaining 784 were residents
of Hackney.
The following lists give the names of the institutions within
the Borough receiving persons from both within and without the
Borough, and also the institutions outside the Borough, receiving
sick and infirm persons from the Borough, with the number ol
deaths in each institution during the year 1923 :—
