Infantile Mortality.—The deaths under 1 year of age in the
Borough during 1923 numbered 257. This is a decrease of 87
upon the number of infants deaths recorded during 1922. The
infant mortality rate for the year is 58 per 1,000 births.
The cause& of death are set out in the following table :—
