The following particulars of the defective and insanitary
condition of the premises were submitted to the Committee, with
my representation thereon:—
Report of the Inspection of 48, 50, 52, 54, 56, 58, 60, 62, and 64,
Middlesex Wharf, by the Medical Officer of Health.
48.—(Unoccupied).
G.F.B. walls very damp; floor formed of stone slabs and
damp.
G.F.F. walls very damp; no through ventilation under floor,
defective floor, window sash defective.
F.F.F. walls very damp; roof defective, window sill defective.
F.F.B. walls damp; no fireplace in room, roof defective,
casement defective; premises generally dirty and dilapidated.
50.—(Occupied by three Adults).
G.F.B. walls damp; cement floor, damp.
G.F.F. walls damp; no through ventilation under floor;
staircase walls damp.
F.F.B. walls damp; no fireplace; defective window sill.
F.F.F. walls slightly damp: defective roof.
52.—(Occupied by two Adults and six Children).
G.F.B. walls damp; detective and damp cement floor.
G.F.F. no through ventilation under floor ; rather damp
walls ; defective staircase; detective roof.
