The detention and control of Fats under the Public Health (Imported Food)
Regulations, 1925, during the year was as follows :—

1,500 barrels of edible tallow (whale oil) also arrived in the Port; this material
was released.
Beef seized and destroyed, 3,713 quarters, crops, &c., 22 bags, 311 tons,
12 cwts., 0 qrs., 12 lbs. (including 303 tons 10 cwts., 3 qrs., 5 lbs. sent to outside
contractors).
