RIVER.
The whole of this area is divided into three districts, known as Upper, Middle and Lower, each district being in charge of an Inspector, as follows:— | ||
Upper District.— | Teddington to Greenwich | Inspector Coombe,£l 50 per annum. |

(2) The total number of inspections for the year was 280, representing a
nett number of 125 boats. The remainder 155 represents repeated visits by
Inspectors of this Authority.
The number of boats not conforming to the Acts and Regulations was 86
(inspected on 106 occasions, or 37.85 per cent. of the total inspections, the
percentage for the previous five years being 33.60 per cent.)
In addition to the above, 40 boats were at the time of visit found with
the cabin door locked, there being no persons on board. Inspection was therefore
impossible, and these visits are not included in the number of boats inspected.
