During the year, 398 expectant mothers attended the Clinic as
compared with 434 in 1942. This represents approximately 81.7 per
cent. of the total notified births (live and still) which occurred in
the Borough during 1943. The figures for 1942 are shown in the table
for comparison purposes. The reduction in the number of expectant
mothers attending the Ante-Natal Clinic has followed the opening
of the Ante-Natal Clinic at St. Helier Hospital.
POST-NATAL CLINIC.
The reduction in the number of clinics is due to the establishment
of separate Post-Natal Clinics at monthly intervals. Previously
post-natal cases were seen at the Ante-Natal Clinics.
