MATERNITY WARD.
Throughout the year the arrangements between the Council and
the Carshalton, Beddington and Wallington (War Memorial) Hospital
for the reception of maternity cases remained the same.
The following table gives particulars of the cases admitted under
the Council's scheme during the year:—

Sixteen cases were referred from the Ante-natal Clinic, and one
case was sent into hospital, having been referred to the Medical Officer
of Health by her own doctor.
CONSULTANT OBSTETRICIAN.
No changes occurred in the appointment of Consultant
Obstetrician during the year.
HOME HELP.
Two Home Helps are employed by the authority to assist in
domestic duties during confinements occurring in the homes of
residents. A Home Help was provided in 21 cases during the year.
