It will be seen from the foregoing table that 8 deaths were registered
as due to Tuberculosis, of which 6 were Pulmonary and 2 NonPulmonary.
The figures correspond to a death rate per 1,000 of population
of 0.19 for Pulmonary Tuberculosis and 0.06 for Non-Pulmonary
Tuberculosis.
Of the 8 deaths which occurred, 1 was in an unnotified case, i.e.,
12.5 per cent, of the total Tuberculosis deaths. The unnotified death
was a resident who died outside the area and came to notice by inward
transfer. Investigation as to the reasons for omission of notification
is made at the request of the County Medical Officer of Health, and
the information obtained is forwarded to him.
