MILK (SPECIAL DESIGNATIONS) ORDERS.
During the year the Council granted the following number of
licences under the above-named Orders:—
Tuberculin Tested 11
Accredited 1
Pasteurised 13
SLAUGHTERHOUSES.
There is only one Slaughterhouse within the district, this being
licensed annually. During the year 52 animals were slaughtered.
The whole of the carcases and offal were examined prior to removal
from the premises.
BAKEHOUSES.
There are 12 Bakehouses in the district. The premises were visited
periodically. Unsatisfactory conditions were found to exist in 6
instances.
OTHER FOOD PREPARINC PLACES.
During the year 322 visits were paid to other food preparing places
within the district. The conditions found were generally satisfactory.
FACTORIES.
There are 92 Factories in the district.
