AMBULANCE FACILITIES.
Infectious Cases. Two motor ambulances have been provided by
the Wandle Valley Joint Hospital Board.
Ceneral and Accident Cases. The ambulance available for general
and accident cases is under the control of the Carshalton, Beddington
and Wallington Fire Protection and Ambulance Committee. In 1938 a
new Ambulance Service will be provided by the Council operating from
the new Fire Station in Belmont Road. The Council on the 29th June,
1935, undertook responsibility for any expenses incurred by the Police,
or other persons, in the provision of an ambulance for the removal of
cases of accidents occurring in the Borough.
NURSINC IN THE HOME.
This service is undertaken mainly by the staff of the Beddington
and Wallington District Nursing Association and their work in the
Borough is greatly appreciated.
During the year the District Nurses attended 1,174 cases, including
78 maternity and 80 midwifery patients.
