The figures in this Table were extracted from the District Medical
Officers' Books. They represent the Diseases for which persons were
admitted into the Whiteehapel Union Infirmary from the Salvation Army
Shelters within the district. In addition to these were urgent cases
which the Iufirmary Medical Officers admitted, but of which I have no
record.
The cases herein set out were equal to 23 per cent, of the total admissions into the Infirmary.
