13th December, and Tuesday, the 14th December, when the thermometer
indicated respectively 23.7°, 23.3°, 29.8°, and 24.2°. The coldest day
during the corresponding Quarter of last year was on Friday, the 1st
January, when tho thermometer indicated 18.2°, or 13.2° below the freezing
point.
The rain-fall during the year was 27.59 inches, and in the previous
year the rain-fall was 18.31 inches.
