According to the return given to me by Mr. Vallance, and recorded
in my last report, it appeared that 94 cases of fever were admitted into the
Homerton Fever Hospital during the six months ended Lady-day last. Of

numbers we add the cases recorded during this quarter, we find that the
total number of fever cases which have been received in the Hospital from
this District, during the last nine months, is 108; of which no less than 71,
or 65.7 per cent., were sent from the Common Lodging Houses. The rate
of mortality has been 25 per cent.
