worker in the Clinic for three days a week throughout most of
the year, working under the supervision of one of our psychiatric
social workers. We also continue to take students from the
Social Science course at the London School of Economics, and
student teachers from the Institute of Education course on
teaching maladjusted children. We are glad to be able to contribute
to the provision of more and better training facilities
for social workers, who are in such demand throughout the

School Psycho- Miss B. S. Gascoyne and Miss C. H. Watt, Educational
logical Service Psychologists, report as follows:—
"This is the first time that the name of Redbridge has
appeared on this report. The transfer from Essex went very
smoothly in the School Psychological Service as preparations
had been made for this in advance, and Miss Gascoyne had
already made contact with many of the Schools in the Woodford,
Wanstead and Chigwell areas in the last quarter of 1964. The

Psychological Service and from April 1st, Miss Watt transferred
this area to Mr. Sheridan. A close liaison between the
two psychologists concerned was needed over the transition
period, to effect the transfer as readily as possible. Since this

psychologists instead of sharing their services with other
areas. One of the great advantages in this from the Psychologists
point of view in that almost all the children we now
see in Schools are eligible for selection for the same set of
special educational facilities as they come under one administrative
area.
The Remedial Centre moved in September 1965, from
Valentines School to the Becontree School building which was

a new building. The additional space at Becontree gives room
for the expansion of the Remedial Centre to cater for the
enlarged borough. A teacher was appointed in August to start
an additional class at the Centre in January 1966. Plans have
also been made for further expansion during 1966. Mrs. Cameron
was appointed to the Observation Class at Easter. We were
lucky to find a teacher for this group who had some years of
experience of teaching in special Schools and so had
