From members of the Council and. the staff of the Health and other departments
and of the County Council I have had unfailing support. The general public
who, in the ultimate carry responsibility for their own well being in their
own hands, and the voluntary Associations whose devoted service is so effective
in this Borough, have always responded to requests for help. To all these
it is my pleasure to express ny gratitude and the hope that they will continue
to support their New Borough in the same way as the old.
