Notes in regard Do samples shown as adulterated or below standard.
Self-raising flour.—The samples contained fluorine in excessive
quantities. It was decided not to prosecute in these cases. The
flour was immediately withdrawn from sale by the vendors and
the Ministry of Health communicated with.
Margarine.—Each of these samples contained Boric Acid. The
Public Health (Preservatives in Food) Regulations forbids the
addition of preservatives in Margarine and for this reason the
