The sanitary conveniences attached to licensed
premises in the district are periodically visited and
generally found to be kept in a satisfactory condition.
AIR RAID PRECAUTIONS.
So much has been done in the Department during
the year in this direction that I feel it deserves some
comment.
At the beginning of the year I spent a fortnight at
the Home Office Civilian anti-gas school, Falfield, and was
successful in qualifying as a first-class instructor (special
certificate). Since then a very considerable amount of my
time has been occupied in giving lectures to the various
sections of air raid precautions personnel.
The details of these lectures can be summarised as
follows:—
