TUBERCULOSIS.
One hundred and eighty seven new cases were added to
the register of tuberculous persons, compared with 161 in 1951.
These additions were:—

Of these 187,133' were primary notifications, 53 were transferred
from other districts, and 1 came to notice in another way.
During the year 88 persons were removed from the register
for the following reasons:—
Recovered 4
Removed from the district 55
Death 29
After allowing for the additions and deductions, the number
remaining on the register at the 31st December, 1952, was
distributed as shown in the following table
