The high rate for the Morden Area is noteworthy as this
is the ward which has experienced the greatest recent
development.
Institutional and Domiciliary Births. The tendency of
recent years towards increased Institutional confinements continued.
Fifty-six per cent, of the births which occurred during
the year took place in hospitals or nursing homes as follows:—
