Twenty-eight complaints were received and dealt with during the year.
Prevention of Damage by Pests Act, 1949
Five thousand nine hundred and eleven visits were made by the Rodent
Operatives to 868 properties and 291 rat and mouse infestations were found.
Of that number 258 were in private premises, 28 in business premises, 5 in
Council premises.

With regard to sewers, one maintenance treatment was carried out in May. The results are shown in the following table, together with those for the three previous years:—
