New Houses
During the year 77 new dwellings were completed 45 of which were
private dwellings and 32 Council maisonnettes.
The following buildings were in course of erection at the end of the
year :—

The number of requisitioned premises at the 31st December, 1957 was
28 providing accommodation for 50 families. This is 37 less properties
under requisition than at 12 months earlier.
The outstanding approved applications for tenancies at the year end
totalled 1,028, which was 98 less than a year before.
