Milk Supply
The district has been declared a Specified Area by the Minister for
the purposes of the Milk (Special Designations) (Specified Areas) Order,
1951. In consequence, all milk sold by retail must be "designated
milk" and all retailers must be licensed to use a special designation in
relation to milk.
Milk Distributors.
The number of Milk Distributors rose to 22 from 17 in the vear before.

The designated licences issued during the year were as follows:

Bacteriological Examination of Milk.
Two hundred and twenty-six samples of milk were submitted for
bacteriological examination and five failed to comply with the prescribed
Regulations.
