Milk Supply.
Cowkeepers.
There are three cowkeepers registered in the District, two of whom
are licensed by the County Council, to use the term " Accredited
Milk."
Regular inspections have been made of the farms.
Only a very small amount of unpasteurised or raw milk is consumed
in the district.
Milk Retailers.
The number of registered milk retailers was 10.
Milk (Special Designations) Regulations 1936-1946.
Licences under these Regulations were issued as follows:Principal

Pasteurised 7
Supplementary Licences-Tuberculin Tested 9
Pasteurised7
Bacteriological Examination of Milk.
One hundred and ninety-one samples of milk were procured and
submitted for bacteriological examination.

All the milks were sold under the Milk (Special Designations) Regulations, and 38 failed to comply with the prescribed Regulation. The results of the tests were as follows :-
