is admitted. Non-notifiable diseases, such as measles and whooping
cough, are admitted in exceptional circumstances. The information
contained in Table 10, supplied by the Clerk to the Board,
shows the number of cases admitted from each district during the
year. The number admitted from Carshalton was 310 compared
with 350 in the year before.
General and Maternity.—The Carshalton, Beddington and
Wallington District (War Memorial) Hospital, The Park,
Carshalton.
This voluntary hospital provides 61 beds, arranged as follows :—

The hospital is equipped with an X-Ray Department, and has a
separate wing for orthopcedic treatment, including massage,
electrical treatment, radiant heat, ultra-violet ray, and remedial
exercises.
The hospital report for 1938 shows that the following cases
