Nursing in the Home.
Two voluntary associations provide nursing facilities in the
district. The Council makes an annual grant to both, in return
for which they undertake the nursing of cases referred from the
public services.
The Carshalton District Nursing Association covers the whole
of the urban district except that part of the St. Helier Estate lying
to the north of Reigate Avenue. Six nurses are employed, three
of whom act as midwives. The following information in respect
of the working of this Association during 1938 has been kindly
supplied by the Honorary Secretary :—
