Poliomyelitis Vaccination
The work of vaccinating persons up to the age of 40 continued to be undertaken
both by general practitioners and at the clinics.
The following table shows the number of persons completing courses of injections during 1961:-

In April the Ministry of Health authorised the administration of fourth (reinforcing)
doses to children between the ages of five and twelve, and 6,538 children
were given such doses.
