Factories

The borough has many diverse light industries scattered throughout the area in addition to a highly industrialised zone along the western side of the River Lea. Visits are made to enforce those parts of the Factories Act for which the local authority is responsible and a good liaison exists with H.M. Factories Inspector for the exchange of information of mutual interest.
