SECONDARY SCHOOLS AND OTHER INSTITUTIONS OF
HIGHER EDUCATION.
Statement of the work of the School Medical Service in connection with
pupils attending secondary schools and other institutions of higher education,
showing the provision made for medical inspection and treatment.
I.—Medical Inspection:—

Your Committee's Medical Officers inspect children in attendance at
secondary schools in Tottenham, by arrangement with the County Council.
Full medical inspection is made of all pupils in secondary schools
as follows:—
(i) During the year of entrance to school.
(ii) Between 13 and 14 years of age.
(iii) Between 15 and 16 years of age.
Special examinations of selected pupils are carried out by the Medical
Officers when requested by the Head Teachers.
During 1935 there were inspected 808 boys and 481 girls.
