(c) Physical Training.
Physical training is regarded in the Area as a subject of highest
importance. The new and lively interest in the subject engendered by
the issue of the Board of Education's new Syllabus of Physical Training
in 1933 has been well maintained, and the appointment in October of
two Physical Training Organiseis by the Tottenham, Finchley, Hornsey
and W ood Green Education Committees jointly to serve the four authorities
will, it is confidently hoped, do much to extend and develop
Physical Training work in schools throughout the Area. An impressive
series of demonstrations with classes of children was given just before
the close of the year to all Head Teachers of schools within the four Areas.
