VOLUNTARY SERVICES.
The Mothers' Welfare Club continues at The Chestnuts and
Bruce Castle.
In May a Ladies' Visiting sub-committee, consisting of all the
ladies of the Committee was appointed. This sub-committee has reported
from time to time on the following matters, namely :—
(a) Renewal of garments and utensils at the creche.
(b) Disposal of voluntary contributions.
(c) Management of voluntary activities.
Baby Competitions were held in the month of September at all the
centres. Towards the prizes, your Committee contributed £25. Other
donations were received amounting to £5. 5s.
Mrs. Pickford has rendered valuable services at The Chestnuts
sewing class, as in previous years.
Miss Cremolina has kindly assisted with sewing at the creche, and
Miss M. Camm in the afternoons with the children in the shelter.
