NURSING ARRANGEMENTS.
General Nursing,—The local medical practitioners petitioned the
Council to use their best efforts to have re-established the District
Nursing Association in Tottenham. The Ministry of Health and other
agencies were approached with a view of ascertaining whether sufficient
financial help would be forthcoming to warrant the reopening of the
work of this Association, but after all prospective sources of revenue
had been investigated, it did not appear that sufficient support was likely
to be given and the matter is still in abeyance.
Midwives.—There are 20 Midwives practising in the district,
