Offices, Shops and Railway Premises Act, 1963
This is an Act to make fresh provision for securing the health, safety
and welfare of persons employed to work in office or shop premises and provision
for securing the health, safety and welfare of persons employed to
work in certain railway premises; to amend certain provisions of the
Factories Act, 1961; and for purposes connected with matters aforesaid.
Certain sections of the Act including the requirement to register premises
came into force on 1st May, 1964, but most of the main provisions came into
force on 1st August, 1964.
