Maximum Clothes Accommodation 312 250
Quantity of Water 150,000 gallons 70,000 gallons

Both work on a continuous cycle of pressure filtration and chlorination
the actual water being emptied out once a year and the Baths being refilled
with mains water.
Records are kept at both Baths showing the number of bathers, water
temperature and residual chlorine levels at various times during the day
and from these it was clear that an adequate degree of chlorination was
being maintained.
Four bacteriological samples were taken from both the Throwley Road
Bath and the Malden Road Bath All eight samples were reported as
satisfactory.
In addition there is an open air learner swimming bath at Avenue
Road County Primary School, Belmont Rise, Belmont. A small pressure
filter and chlorinator was in use and a complete circulation of water
was obtained every eight hours Three samples of the water were taken
for bacteriological examination, and were found to be satisfactory.
