MASSAGE AND SPECIAL TREATMENT

Premises used for the reception or treatment of persons requiring massage or special treatment must be registered and are subject to inspection by a senior medical officer of this authority. The number of licences issued is shown below.

Three certificates of intention to practise were received during the year from Members of the
Chartered Society of Physiotherapists.
MEDICAL EXAMINATION OF STAFF
All staff are required to complete a medical history form before appointment. From the information
given it may be decided that the candidate is fit to carry out the duties of the appointment, or it may be
considered necessary for a medical examination to be carried out to determine his fitness. Approximately
24% were so examined.
