The following foodstuffs, found to be unfit for human consumption, were surrendered by the owners and either salvaged for animal food or destroyed.

INSPECTIONS OF FOOD PREMISES.
Inspection of Food Premises has been steadily maintained
throughout the year, a total of 676 visits being made.

As a result of such visits the following improvements have been carried out:—

Improvement of existing Sanitary accommodation11
Hot Water supply installed12
Washing (staff) facilities improved8
Ventilation of rooms improved9
Major alterations to Food preparing rooms6

In one case it was necessary to serve Statutory Notice under the
provisions of Section 13 of the Food and Drugs Act, 1938 for improvement
of the premises.
