In the main the work called for by Statutory notices was carried
out by the owners but in one case it became necessary for the Local
Authority to carry out work in default under Section 9 of the Housing
Act, 1936 at a cost of £30/0/0.
PROSECUTIONS.
It became necessary to take proceedings against an occupier of
premises who failed to comply with statutory notices to abate
nuisances.
The prosecution was in respect of three summonses and the
hearing was at the Petty Sessions Court, Richmond, on the 5th July.
The defendant was convicted on all three summonses and fined
£1/10/0 with £1/1/0 costs in each case.
