Midwives.
No midwives are employed or subsidised by the Council.
The total number of midwives practising in the district is 5.
Chemical Work.
Arrangements have been made whereby samples of the
Borough water supply are regularly examined (monthly or more
often if required). These water samples are examined by Drs.
Thresh, Beale and Suckling, and their reports are invariably good
shewing that the water supply is of excellent quality.
