National Assistance Act, 1948
(a) Section 47: Care of Aged and Chronic Sick. No cases needed
statutory action under Section 47.In several instances the
provision of a home help obviated the need for hospital care or
admission to an old persons' home.

Medical Examinations
During the year 107 examinations were carried out by me in
respect of Chingford Council staff and 25 in respect of staff of
the Essex County Council.
