Food at fairs
The standard of food hygiene at some of the food stalls operating
at the Chingford Fairs has been unsatisfactory and so I have taken steps to
ensure that all food vendors' stalls are inspected and the conditions
improved before they are allowed on the site. This necessarily involves
the co-operation of the Public Health Inspectors in whose districts the
food hawkers are normally resident. The hawkers are to be required to be
registered with this authority for the sale of food in Chingford.
I am grateful to the Forest Superintendent and his staff for
their assistance in dealing with this problem.
