Noise Abatement Act 1960.
Only four complaints of excessive noice were received
during the year and successful remedies were obtained informally.
Land Charges Act 1925.
The Department dealt with 1,263 enquiries by prospective
purchasers regarding outstanding sanitary defects or other notices or
order on the property.
Pet Animals Act 1951.
There are three licensed pet shops in the Borough,
The annual renewal of licence of one shop was deferred subject to
certain works being carried out to comply with the Act,
Licensing Act 1961.
The staff inspected and reported on the general
sanitary condition and standard of food hygiene of fifteen premises
in connection with applications for Club Registration Certificates,
In all cases, requests for improvements were complied with
promptly.
Riding Establishments Act 1939.
There is one riding stable in the Borough which is
regularly inspected under the provisions of the Above Act.
Although the buildings are very old they have been re-modelled and
re-built by the present occupier and provide good accommodation
for the animals.
