SANITARY INSPECTION OF THE AREA
Inspection on Complaint.
The number of complaints received at the office and
recorded in the register was 823 as compared with 600 for
1955 and 505 in 1954.
The total inspections made on complaint was 536 and the
number of defects or nuisances revealed was 823, which are
analysed in the following table. Informal notices were at
once served on the owners or occupiers of the premises concerned.
