Legal Proceedings
Four cases were taken before the Magistrates under Sections 3 and 9 of the Act in relation to extraneous matters found in foodstuffs. Convictions resulted in each case.

Byelaws-Handling, Wrapping and Delivery of Food
Progress has continued in the maintenance of hygienic conditions
in food premises in relation to these Byelaws.
816 visits were paid to food premises including restaurants and
other food-preparing premises.
Inspection of Meat and Other Foods
There is one private lioonsed slaughter-house in the Borough which
is not in normal use and twenty-six butchers' shops. The visits paid to
these premises numbered 78.
The following list gives details of the diseased or unsound meat
and other articles found unfit for human consumption, which were
voluntarily surrendered and destroyed or used for animal feeding purposes
or returned to the Ministry of Food for processing purposes:-
