Swimming Pool Water.
Four samples of water were taken from the Swimming Pool
during the season. Three were reported on satisfactorily by the
Bacteriologist, but one sample was stated to be not of the
standard desirable. This was due to the inefficiency of the soda
injector, and new apparatus was installed later in the year.
Chemical Examinations.
Dr Bernard Dyer and Partners Ltd., Peek House, 20, Eastcheap,
E.C.3, are the Public Analysts for the district.
The following table gives a list of articles submitted for
chemical examination during the year, in supplementation of
the Essex County Council's Food and Drugs Service. In connection
with samples Nos. 292 and 295 representations were made
to the Ministry of Food which carried out investigations.
Samples Nos. 300 to 311 were samples of School milk, and it is
pleasing to note that the supply to Schools was of a good quality.
