OF FOOD
Milk Supply.
There is only one cowshed on the register for the Chingford
district; the number of retail purveyors of milk is 4.
The number of visits paid to cowsheds and dairies was 5.
Milk (Special Designations) Regulations, 1936-1946.
Graded Miks. The following table shows the licences granted
during the year for the sale of milk under the special designations,
as provided by the above Regulations:
2 dealers' licences to sell milk as Pasteurised.
2 supplementary licences to sell milk as Pasteurised.
2 dealers' licences to sell milk as Tuberculin Tested.
2 supplementary licences to sell milk as Tuberculin Tested.
Meat and Other Foods.
There is one licensed slaughterhouse and twenty-two butchers'
shops in the area; the visits paid to these and other retail trade
premises numbered 240.
The following list gives details of the diseased or unsound
meat and other articles found unfit for human consumption, which
were voluntarily surrendered and destroyed or used for animal
feeding purposes, or returned to the Ministry of Food for processing
purposes:—
