Registration of Premises under Section 14—Food and Drugs Act.
No applications were received during the year for the
registration of premises at which Sausages are manufactured or
food potted, pickled, pressed or preserved.
Meat and Odier Foods
There is one licensed slaughter-house and twenty-two butchers'
shops in. the area ; the visits paid to these premises numbered 126.
There were seven pigs' carcases inspected at registered
slaughter-houses and six pigs' carcases inspected at private houses.

The following list gives details of the diseased or unsound meat and other articles found unfit for human consumption, which were voluntarily surrendered and destroyed:—

Assistance was given to the Waltham Abbey Urban District
Council during the year in the inspection of carcases at the Ministry
of Food slaughterhouse situate in that area.
