Infantile Mortality-
There were 35 deaths of infants under one year during the year, giving
an infantile mortality rate of 20-69 per 1,000 live births- This shows a
considerable decrease on the figure of 40-21 for 1947- The rate for England
and Wales in 1948 was 34-00-
