Scarlet Fever.
The number of cases of scarlet fever notified during the year was 99,
an increase of 39 on 1947. There were 49 cases admitted to hospital No
deaths were recorded from this disease.
Enteric Fever.
No cases of enteric fever were notified during the year. There were
no deaths.

Pneumonia, Malaria, Dysentery.
Pneumonia. There were 33 cases of pneumonia notified during the
year, a decrease of 27 on 1947. Deaths numbered 48.
